If you haven’t jumped on the smart home train, no worries, there is still time. Smart home trends are created every day to give you the most convenient, secure and smartest technology. All rooms in your home can be connected and controlled from one touch on your smart phone. Below are the latest technologies for each room in your home.

The Kitchen

The smart home of the future includes smart kitchen appliances. Refrigerators, cooktops, ranges, ovens and microwaves are just a few smart appliances offered by LG. Touchscreen displays make for a sleek design on the stainless steel appliances. The refrigerators have a Door-in-Door design making room for more storage and easy access to the items you need most. Sensor cooking is the latest innovation offered by LG which allows your microwave to serve as a second oven and determine when food is finished by its humidity-sensing technology.

Lastly, with LGs TrueSteam Technology there is no longer a need to pre-wash dishes before using the dishwasher. This LG dishwasher is a quiet and adjustable dishwasher that gets your dishes sparkling again.

Living Areas

Thermostat: Now you can control your thermostat using your smart phone. With the Learning Thermostat you can slash your heating and cooling bills up to 20 percent. The system adjusts to a homeowner’s routine and its’ sensors know when a home is empty and will use less energy when no one is there. When you are home, the thermostat lights up to show you the temperature it is set on.

Blinds and shades: Control your room’s natural light and privacy with motorize blinds and shades from Pella Insynctive’s line of smart products. With a remote control or a compatible home automation system, you can control between-the-glass blinds/shades, roller shades and cellular shades.

Smartplugs: Connect your lights and appliances to Zuli Smartplugs and control them all from one app (including the Learning Thermostat mentioned above). Its sensors estimate energy usage and can even sense your location. Rather than relying on WiFi, Zuli uses Bluetooth technology to give you instant control to turning on or off the table lamp, floor lamp, sound system, thermostat and more.

Secure Your Home

  • Take satisfaction in knowing you can see your property from anywhere with the iSmart Alarm System. Window sensors, door sensors, motion detectors and cameras are all connected wirelessly and can be controlled from the iSmart app to ensure your home is always protected, even when you aren’t there.
  • Even your garage opener can help you stay connected to your home when you aren’t there. Control your garage door and even turn lights on in your home from your smartphone with the purchase of MyQ Garage. Using the app you can instantly open your garage door when you are on your way home.
  • Easily enter your home with UniKey, a touch-to-open technology. There is no longer a need for bulky keys when all you have to do is touch the lock to open it.
